Senior Research Scientist

Sindhu Govindan, is a passionate cancer biologist with a PhD in head and neck oncology and has been in the field of clinical translation of cancer research for more than a decade. She has over 18 years of experience in tissue banking, molecular diagnostics, ex vivo tumor culture systems, biomarker identification, quality management system in medical devices and laboratories, validation and assay development in oncology. Her core expertise is in gene expression panel development for resistance/response, clinical and experimental data analysis, Immunohistochemistry, primary cell culture and in vitro cell stem assays. She has played a pivotal role in the validation and marketing of Can-Assist Breast test developed at OncoStem Diagnostics, Bangalore. As a Senior Scientist and Team Lead in Farcast Bioscience, Bangalore, she was responsible for delivering NS assay, cytokine, flowcytometry and STR assay reports to biopharma clients. He is an expert in setting up and managing molecular, and cell culture labs. She has 14 publications in reputed International Journals. Ramesh heads Biobank and Cancer biology lab at Karkinos Healthcare.
